FAMILY and FOOD!!
First, I'll tell you a little about myself. I was born (on a Friday, the thirteenth!) and spent my childhood in Dillon, SC. with three brothers and one sister. I proudly graduated from Dillon High School and Columbia College. I received my Master's of Education from USC and have spent MANY years teaching third, fourth, and fifth grades.
After my marriage to my AMAZING husband David, I moved to lovely Newberry, SC! We live right on Main Street, and I have spent my entire teaching career here at Gallman Elementary.
We have three WONDERFUL children--Sally (and her husband Matthew Baker and soon-to-be our grandson Charlie), Carl, and John. I almost forgot to mention our energetic little Beagle Rose!
In my spare time, I READ, READ, READ! I'm always in the middle of a library book--usually a suspense novel. I also WOG! (That means that I walk a while, jog a while.) I also try to complete at least one crossword puzzle a day (to keep my aging brain sharp!). David and I love to go off in our motor home as often as possible, which is never often enough, of course.
For the past six years since my retirement from the regular education classroom, I have worked part-time as a Reading and Math Interventionist at Gallman. THAT's where you can reach me now!
